Superman Returns
Went and saw the movie last night. It was gooooood. It was very well done, good character movie. Brandon Routh played his role as Superman AND Clark Kent very nicely and Kevin Spacey, fuhgedabouddit, he totally KILLED IT! He played the best Lex Luthor I've ever seen. Very nicely done, Mr.Spacey, sincerely, not a show stealer but a good job. And Kate Bosworth played a nice follow up to Margot Kidder's Lois Lane. She played it hard and played it adequately. She might not be a hard-ass (though, she kinda does have a nice ass) but then, she's also a mommy, so she's a wee bit toned down, but not by much. She's still a Lois Lane one knows and love.

The focus of the movie is very well done too, no one stole the show and gave it all pretty equal terms, even Cyclops, I mean, James Marsden gets his dues. More so than when he was Cyclops, ha ha ha ha! The guy who played Jimmy Olsen also was hilarious. He totally played the fanboy. But, I love the guy who played Perry White, Frank Langella. Saw him in other movies before like Dave and Junior so it's nice to see a familiar face as Perry White. He even delivered "Great Ceasar's Ghost" nicely. Thumbs up, Mr.Langella!

Good movie. Very good movie.

You're damn right luthor was great! XD I love how Spacy's luthor was darker than gene hackman's and yet he still maintains that comical feel. Surprisingly, despite Kate Bosworth looking too young to be Lois, she pulled off a convincing performance. That'll shut the critics up XD

Good Movie indeed. Good rendition of Bryan's Superman too dude. I like how you connected his cape with the crest ala Eradicator. Awesome :D

I liked the movie overall... but to me it had the same problems King Kong had... it was a remake of an older movie (in this case Superman: The Movie) with little new material (inexplicably a kid) and a lot of scenes that went too long or that were unneccessary.

Again, I liked it, it was woth watching.... but I wanted so much more... I dunno... Spider-Man blew me away, X-Men was great, Batman Begins is the best super-hero movie ever made... but Superman Returns? It was like a remake of the Donner film with more special effects and less heart. Good, but not great.

I think a lot of guys can like it too, it's a great movie with great characters. To me, this is the best Super-Hero movie to date with Spider-Man a close second.

Nah, not at Cineleisure anyway. But I've seen the "3" teaser trailer already. Boy, I can't wait for that movie!

It certianly looked good from the previews. But then again, I'm not really a big fan of superman or his cheatery superpowers and god moding.

Yeah man, I was totally shocked by how much I loved this movie. I mean, of course there were issues, but man... who cares. It was so awesome. XD

Re: Great Caesar's ghost - is that a Perry White thing? I mean, I don't read Superman really so I wouldn't know. When I heard it though, I thought of like.. Namor for some reason. or some Marvel character.

very, very, VERY good movie.
i saw it last Tues. with my fiancee and was totally blown away.
i wasn't expecting it to be a follow-up to the last Christpher Reeve SUPERMAN movie,
but i thought the whole thing was masterfully pulled off.
Routh was an excellent Superman (and a dead ringer for Mr. Reeve!), Mr. Spacey was INCREDIBLE, and Cyclops made up for his lackluster death in X-MEN 3.
i'd say this movie is more than worth seeing more than once.

Check that dude, the movie is after Superman 2, they made it as if Superman 3 and 4 never existed.
